We are all magnificent masterworks in progress. And, each individual is a creative force in his or her life.
You would never look at a masterpiece and say, “It would be perfect if you just remove all of the dark places, contrast, and hard edges." No, because then it would be shallow and flat; it would lack depth, perspective, meaning and beauty.
With an understanding that we are beautiful masterworks in progress, we can appreciate and embrace the value, and the gifts of the dark places in our masterworks and the challenges that we encounter on our paths. Through work on the dark places and overcoming difficulties, we emerge more self-aware, more beautiful, and more powerful as our mettle is tested.
